What a slow or unclear site costs you

Nobody searches for "a nice website" — people search for an answer to their question. Four things weigh heaviest.

Slow loading

A page that is slow to open loses visitors before they have seen it — especially on a phone.

Unclear on a phone

Buttons you cannot tap, text that is too small, a number you cannot call with one touch: on a small screen that shows immediately.

No clear next step

If it is not immediately obvious what you want someone to do, they hesitate and leave.

No visible trust

Without clear contact details or a secure connection, a site reads as doubtful rather than professional.

What we check, and why

Speed

Core Web Vitals, Google’s own speed measurement, and how long your server takes to answer.

On a phone

Mobile rendering, whether zooming still works, the weight of your images, and whether your number is one tap from a call.

Findability

Title, description and a few technical points decide whether Google shows you, and how.

Content

Without readable text in the page itself, neither search engines nor AI assistants find you.

Trust & privacy

Security, working links, a findable privacy text, and which trackers sit in your page.

SEO and SEA

Then: making sure people find you.

The check shows what is holding you back. Then the real work starts: making sure Google knows your business and shows it to people searching for what you sell. This is what we do about it, and what you can do yourself.

Why it matters

Someone typing “baker in your town” mostly looks at the first results. If you are not there, that customer never meets you.

What Google reads

Your title, your description, your opening hours, your address and how fast your page loads. For a small business it is rarely more.

What you do

Write about what you really sell, in the words your customers use. The rest of the technical side you can leave to us.

What we take care of.

  • Sitemap and titles for Google (SEO), on every plan
  • Opening hours and details Google can read
  • A website that works well on your phone
  • Connect your own domain, with SSL (https)
  • A Google Shopping feed for your products, on Commerce and Business
  • With “bespoke”: titles, descriptions, sitemap and your Google Business Profile set up
  • Site statistics, so you see what works

The point of all this: that Google can read your site easily. Nobody can promise a spot on the first page.

Getting found locally

What you do yourself.

Six habits that pay off most for a small business. No technical side, just your own words.

  1. 01

Put your town and your trade in your title

People search the way they talk: “florist Antwerp”. If that is in your title, Google recognises you straight away.

For exampleFlorist in Antwerp · Your business

  2. 02

Fill in your opening hours and address

Then Google can show them, on the map too and under “open now”.

    For exampleMon–Sat 9am–6pm · Church Street 12

  3. 03

    Create a Google Business Profile

It is free, and it is what people see when searching nearby: your hours, photos and reviews.

For exampleLink your website to it

  4. 04

Describe your products in your own words

What it is, who it is for and why it is good. That way the right customer finds you, and buys.

For example“800 g sourdough loaf, proved for 24 hours”

  5. 05

Give every photo a short description

People with poor sight hear what is on it. Google reads it too.

For example“Sourdough loaf on a wooden board”

  6. 06

Post some news now and then

A new product, an offer, a workshop. A site that lives feels like a shop that is open.

For exampleOne post a month is enough

Paid visibility

And advertising: SEA.

Advertising is not a project with an end date. It is a budget that runs every month and that someone has to watch. That is why we agree it separately from the build.

  • Setting the campaign up: keywords, ad copy, region and time of day
  • Negative keyword lists, so you do not pay for searches that return nothing
  • Measuring what a click is worth: an enquiry, an order
  • A landing page that matches the ad, instead of your homepage
  • Monthly review and adjustment, if you want that off your plate

Your ad budget is separate from our work: what you pay Google goes to Google. You create the Google Ads account yourself and it stays yours — we help you set it up correctly. We charge for the setup and the review, nothing else.

There is no price here: what this costs depends on where you start. We look first, then you get a fixed price. For advertising, the monthly amount is fixed before we begin.

No number-one guarantee

Nobody can give one — the results belong to Google, not to us.

No figures we have not measured

You get the numbers from your own site, out of your own Search Console.

No subscription to keep the work

Whatever we improve on your site stays there if you stop.

Ask your question

Frequently asked questions

How does the scan work exactly?

We fetch the page you give us and ask Google’s PageSpeed service for the speed measurement. Those measurements are turned into a score using a fixed, transparent point system.

How long does it take?

The score usually appears within twenty to thirty seconds. If you then enter your email address, the full report normally arrives within a few minutes.

Is the check really free?

Yes, entirely. Both the score here and the report in your inbox — no sales pitch, no obligation.

Does this work for webshops too?

Yes. We recognise the common shop platforms, and for a shop speed and trust weigh even heavier — a slow or unclear checkout costs orders immediately.

Do you check whether AI can read my site?

Yes — whether search engines and AI assistants can read your text without running JavaScript is one of the five parts (Content).

Do you tell me whether my cookies are compliant?

No. We tell you which tracking scripts we can see in your page and whether there is a consent banner. Whether it is set up correctly cannot be seen from the outside — that needs a human to look at it.

My score is low, what now?

A low score does not automatically mean your site has to be rebuilt — sometimes a few targeted fixes are enough. The report says which of the two the measurement suggests.

This check is an automated snapshot of one page. It is free and without obligation, and gives no guarantee about findability, visitors or results.
