Cookie policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Short version: this site uses no cookies. Visits are counted by a cookieless tool that never touches your device.
No cookies
This site sets no cookies — no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no social media pixels and no advertising technology. The two technical items below do, legally, fall under the same rules as cookies (art. 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act of 13 June 2005), but they are exempt from consent: they are strictly necessary for something you ask for yourself, and they never leave your browser. That is why there is no cookie banner for those two — not because the rules do not apply here, but because everything they do falls within that exemption.
Cookieless visit statistics
Since 3 September 2026 we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how many visitors the site gets and which pages get read: the path visited, the referring site, the country and the device type, in aggregated form. That happens with no cookie, no localStorage and no other storage on your device — your browser sends a single count message, nothing is read from or written to it.
That means this does not fall under art. 129 WEC at all — that rule specifically covers storing, or gaining access to, information on your device, and neither happens here. So this is not an exemption the way the two items above are; the rule simply does not apply, which is why no cookie banner is needed for it. The processing of your (truncated) IP address that this measurement involves rests on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used — see the privacy policy § 2 and § 6. There is nothing to refuse on this page, because nothing is stored on your side to begin with.
What we do keep on a server
This page is only about your browser. There are three cases where we do keep something on a server. If you ask for the full report through the website check, we keep your email address and the result of that check for twelve months. And if you fill in one of the forms, we keep one short line about it — your details and the text of your message — for up to 24 months. And if you are a client with a design link, we keep your design choice for 180 days under a random code, with no name and no email address. None of the three has anything to do with cookies or tracking — you click or type it in yourself — and all three are explained in full in the privacy policy.
What sits in your own browser
Two small technical items in your own browser, only to make the site work. They are never sent to a server or shared with third parties.
| Item | Storage | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme | localStorage | Remembers the view you chose yourself with the toggle | Stays until you clear it |
| Configurator progress | sessionStorage | Remembers your choices while you move between the configurator and the quote page | Gone when you close the tab or submit the form |
Clearing them yourself
You can remove both at any time through your browser settings. The site keeps working; it just forgets your view preference.
On app.verselli.be, where you build your site
Everything above is about verselli.be. On app.verselli.be, the platform where you build your own site with an account, a few cookies and browser items are needed to sign you in and keep your work. They are strictly necessary for what you ask for yourself, and therefore exempt from consent (Art. 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act). There are no analytics or advertising cookies there. The cookies on our customers’ websites are listed on each website’s own cookie page.
| Item | Storage | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| vs_app | Cookie | Keeps you signed in | 30 days, or until you sign out |
| vs_wizard | Cookie | Remembers your signup while you start your site | 2 hours |
| Display, language, the email address you last signed in with, your signup progress | localStorage and sessionStorage | Remembering your choices and work in your own browser | Until you clear them, or until you close the tab |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | A Cloudflare frame on the signup and sign-in screen | Security check against bots | The length of the check |
If this changes
If we later add technology that does store or read something on your device — cookie-based analytics, advertising technology, or the like — we will update this page first and ask for your consent before anything is set.
